What We Believe
Wine and Bread International (from now on as WABI) believes that the Holy Scriptures, in their original context and language, are true and inerrant, fully given by God the Father (Adonai Elohim, YHWH, or Yah) for His created beings to live by.
WABI believes that the Old Testament (Torah, Prophets, and Writings, together called the Tanakh) and the New Testament (Brit Hadasha) are connected and not separate, establishing one common thread of Truth through the entire scriptures.
WABI believes that Scripture teaches us that we, as human beings or “mankind”, are separated from God by sin (breaking of His commandments, as in 1 John 3:4). Each person must be born again through acceptance of the sacrifice of the Son of God, Jesus (Yeshua our Messiah, or Christ) who by his perfect life, death, burial, and resurrection, makes way for our forgiveness, cleansing from unrighteousness, and reunion to our Father God. The evidence of us having a restored relationship with God is that we actively seek to obey His commands out of love and gratefulness.
WABI believes that the commandments of God are Truth, Life, Light for our paths, Freedom from bondage, and for our own good. His instructions are based on covenant relationship, for our good, in line with our love for Him and through His grace in our lives.
WABI believes that people from every nation, tribe, tongue, and skin color will be called to join Jesus and His Father in their physical and future rule and reign Kingdom on the earth if they have committed their lives to following their Messiah.
WABI believes that the great commission in Matthew 28 puts forth a two-part process of Salvation and Sanctification. We are to share the Gospel of the Kingdom to all the earth with the hope that people will repent (turn) from their disobedience to the instructions of Almighty God and to ask for Jesus to save them from their sin, thereby receiving the gift of eternal life (Salvation). The second part of the great commission is to make disciples who live in obedience (Sanctification) to the commandments that are given to us by God and lived out by Jesus.
WABI believes that there are many ways to share the Gospel, and through the leading and empowering of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) we are to obey him and to live out the Gospel in the ways and areas in which He leads us.
WABI believes in spiritual, emotional, and financial accountability, asking each specific ministry partner to be in fellowship and under proper authority with other like-minded, mature Christ followers.
WABI has a desire to seek salvation for the unbelievers, and for each of them to become disciples that fully obey God’s instructions.
