Cup of Joy Honduras - Katie and Mario Velasquez

Mario has lived his whole life in La Venta. He came to know Jesus at twenty years old after spending all of his youth chasing worldly joy. Jesus completely transformed him, and since then he has been dedicated to service of any and every kind for the glory of God. He is also passionate about music and worship. 
Katie is from Wyoming, but has now been living in Honduras since she and Mario got married in 2019. She grew up in a home with a love for the Lord and a heart for Honduras. Her deepest desire is to live out a genuine, deep, completely transforming relationship with Jesus, and help others to do the same.

"Our desire is to see His Kingdom come in such a way that we may see fruit in every area - disciples dedicated to maturing in Christ, families that experience healing and wholeness, and a shift in the mentality of the society to one of hope and growth. Our current focus areas include serving in our local fellowship that we helped plant in 2022, Iglesia Biblica Rey de Gracia, and opening our home to host every opportunity we have! Mario also serves voluntarily as the "presidente" of the La Venta town council."
